My opinion is that both Rio and BA will continue to cost more with time. The longer you sit on the fence will just add to the expense of travel to either place.

That said. I would personally not recommend travel to Rio without an experienced friend to show you the ropes there.

I think Buenos Aires has more small theft than big theft. Proper research and a heads up attitude should suffice for most people.

Define what you really want, and determine what you are willing to pay for it.

I said I was feeling safer there than in Rio.

I took all the precautions though especially with taxis.

I was there January last year. I went all over the place at night with my wing man and local girlfriends, even downtown, with no problem at all. Especially at Pablito and the surrounding areas.

On the contrary I was stoped with a knife in Cartagena around 01:00 going to my hotel. I was lucky a group of people were coming around the corner and the young guy decided to turn around and leave me alone.

Expect to pay about 250 Reais (125-130 usd) for a 40min trick in a cabine all inclusive.

L'uomos has gone downhill due to the change of management. Many girls left the place because of that. There are many posts for that in the Rio forum.

When I went to Monte Carlo terma, the rate I believe was 60R entry, 60R cabine, and 130R garota. If you use a credit card, you can only charge the entry and cabine, as all garota fees have to be paid in cash. They let me charge it all to the card since I was a new customer and said they would allow it as a courtesy. With the current Real vs USD exchange rate, one shot at Monte Carlo costs about $125 USD. The real value in Rio is getting the girls outta the termas for overnight play.

    Safer in Medellin?

I also saw the absolute ten on a Friday evening in one of those bars in parque Jeras. All three of us agreed on that.

She was not a working girl. Too many rich people around there.

    Tough decision

This is a question I have gone over many times and I have to say, I think it is a moving target. Several years back, when the real was weaker, I thought, all other things being nearly equal (or offsetting) Rio won just on price / quality considerations. Now that prices are more similar, it gets really tough. Sooo.

Chicas -- honestly I can't choose. I have had outstanding times in both places (not to mention some of the other SA venues mentioned -- Colombia, Venezuela, Peru. Maybe Rio gets a slight edge just on attitude.

Setup -- Rio has the termas, beach, bars, chicas everywhere. BA has bars, discos pickup joints private apartments, la recoletta -- edge to Rio since there is nothing like a terma.

    Price edge to BA.

    Wine -- BA hands down.

    Caip. -- Rio.

Convenience BA for private apartments -- open earlier than the Termas!

Food -- this is a tough one and it depends on whether you are in the mood for a steak or classic cuisine or if you want something spicey. Edge to BA.

Music -- for me, Rio wins.

I guess in the end, I have to give a slight edge to Rio, based on the magic of the Terma. At some time around 9-10 PM these places start to really rock. Nothing like it on the planet.

Barbarella is possibly my favorite boliche in the world. I visited several times between 1998 - 2002 but haven't been in the area since. I'd often do two chicas a night there. Prices were the equivalent of around US$50 then, even though the Real was sometimes stronger than it is now.

But that single place is one of the only things I like about Rio.

Thank you for the excellent synopsis of three prime mongering locations.

The next time you visit Buenos Aires, I highly suggest you visit the apartments for the following reasons:

    1. Many lower priced Paraguayians are available;

    2. Increasing number of apartments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week;

    3. Many of the hot model quality chicas on the web sites work at various apartments.

When commuting between apartments, I usually found Buenos Aires taxis to be inexpensive and efficient. Many times apartments are clustered in certain areas of the city, I. E. Downtown, San Telmo, Santa Fe area, etc.

Factoring in the BA apartments, it would be interesting to see your analysis vs. Medellion and Rio.

    Great Report

I found the Columbian section of interest since I have yet to visit. Been to Rio and must admit the girls are really great looking compared to the girls in BA. Have to be real careful in Rio. Always felt like I had to watch my back. In the long run you may pay a bit more in Rio but you get more time and pops in the session. Still can't beat the bife de lomo in BA.

    Colombia vs Rio vs BsAs

Took my first trip to South America and decided on a 3 country tour of Colombia, Brazil, then Argentina.

    ------------------------------------

    First stop - Medellin, Colombia.

Great city. Excellent temperate climate all year round. Stayed at Medellin Mansion, which is a mansion with about 12 bedrooms where working girls hang around. This is probably the best place to stay for a lone monger, as pretty much only mongers stay here and the mongers meet in the common areas of the house and usually go out at night together or trade stories. Here is the pricing structure in Medellin:

*Mansion girls - working girls at the Mansion asking 150,000 COP ($75 USD) Some will take 100,000 ($50 USD) Sessions usually 1 - 1.5 hrs. YMMV as far as BBBJ and GFE. I had a BBBJ / GFE because I got along well with the girl and took her to dinner a couple of times.

*Massage parlors - upscale one like Loutron's is 150,000 ($75 USD) per hour. I went to one called Energy which was very nice, just a notch below Loutron's and they charged 75,000 ($37.50 USD) for an hour. Session was OK, but there are some jewels to be found from what I heard. Plus, it's easy to get them out of these parlors and come see you after work for a better negotiated rate.

*Strip clubs - strip clubs with back rooms to get busy in. Fase Dos is the nicest one with the best looking girls but pricey at 150,000 per hour. I went to a lower end one called San Diego Grill, where the price is 100,000 per hour. I didn't session there but got the girl's number and she came over the next day. Damage was 150,000 for 2 hours (2 pops) Pretty good GFE experience.

*Street action - there's a street called Mayorista where you can find maybe find 5 outta 100 attractive girls. I think their rates are around 25,000 ($12 USD) per hour. There are indeed gems to be had, but I don't like the street scene, so I passed.

    ------------------------------------

Second Stop - Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Fun city to visit. Dirty and you have to be careful walking alone in some areas. Stayed at an apartment since most hotels don't seem to be chica friendly or at least charge some kind of fee.

*Termas - basically a sauna where you dress in a robe and go to another room that looks like a regular bar / dance club. All the women are in their bikini's and you mingle with one until you want to take her back to the cabine (back rooms) Cabines are very nice and clean. Cost for Termas in Copacabana usually run about 240 - 260 Reals ($120 - 130 USD) This is usually broken down into 60R entry fee, 60-80R room fee, and 100-120R fee for the girl. Sessions are typically only 40 minutes. Quite pricey. The Termas girls are the friendliest girls I have ever met. They will sit, chat with you, make out with you right in the bar area. Pretty much all of them DFK and give BBBJ. Went to a couple of Termas (4x4 and Luomo's) and had good experiences at both. It's a cool place to chill, take a steam bath, have a session, get a massage, have another session, eat some food at the buffet, etc. These girls love sex and are easy to take out of the Termas. I had a session with this one girl and met another one a few minutes afterwards. I told her I was beat so she would have to come to my apartment after work instead. She agreed to a price of 200R ($100 USD) "where time didn't matter". She of course was total GFE and stayed the whole night and left at 10a the next morning. Talk about a bargain. The next night, I called her and she agreed to come over again where no money was discussed. She stayed the whole night again and we did it a couple of times. Next morning, she didn't even ask for cab fare or anything.

This is one thing that I can say is good about the Termas - the girls are tested regularly and seem more stable than some girls that freelance at clubs. Seems most are willing to see you outside the Termas for a much lower price, so some great deals can be had. This is the way I went while in Rio, seeing them outside the Termas.

*Discos - HELP is the biggest one in South America. I went once. There were about 200 girls and 200 guys. Most girls were unattractive to me and I hear there are a lot of drug users there. I think the going price is 200-300R for 2 hours ($100-150 USD) This is a freelance place with no bar fines for taking the girl out.

-Barbarella is another disco but it is pricey. It is structured like Black's, Madaho's, etc I believe. I think the damage will be 400-500R to take the girl out. Not a good value but I hear the girls are stunners.

*Low end street and bar action - there's an area called Vila Mimosa for very cheap activity. I think like 26R ($13USD) an hour or something. Not my scene, so I can't really report.

    ------------------------------------

    3rd Stop - Buenos Aires.

I'll admit, I did the least mongering here.

*Boliches - I just didn't find too much value here since the Recoleta clubs like Madaho's are now 300 pesos an hour ($100 USD) just for the girl. Factor in the drink prices and cover charge (50 + 80) and you are at 430 - 450 pesos to take a girl back to your place for 1 - 1.5 hours.

*Bars - there are other bars like Newport where free lancers hang out and there are no bar fines. I stopped by Newport one night and the girls were around 6-7 in looks. I think their going rate may be 200 pesos an hour.

*Privados - private apartments provide the best value. I went to Esmeralda 517 1-be and there were 6 chicas there. I think 3 outta the 6 were in the 8 range in looks. Price was 100 pesos for 30 minutes or 150 p for 1 hour. I chose the quickie. Session was with an Argentine girl which was ok - light kissing, CBJ. But hell, it was cheap.

I hear the Paraguay girls are way better in the sack than Argentines, but I did not get to experience any while here. All in all, I'd say BsAs isn't the most convenient mongering place - in Colombia there are the massage parlors that are well known and are a constant, in Rio there are the Termas and discos, and then there's BsAs. Lacking in massage parlors and termas, BsAS privados are the best value and good for daytime action, but they tend to move around a bit and the boliches are quite pricey and don't start up until around 1am or so. So for the evening action between 8p - 1 am, it's slim pickens. Maybe some privados that run 24 hours, or the freelance coffee shops like Exedra.

All in all, I thought sex in Rio was by far the best. I had good experiences in Colombia too, but Colombianas don't have as much passion as Rio girls. They may be on par with Argentina chicas, although looks-wise I prefer the Colombian look.

    Welcome Ted,

The main website that connects all the ISG websites is www.internationalsexguide.com , from there you will find forums to just about any country you would ever want to visit.

Here is the direct link to the Brazil forum:

    http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...play.php?f=158

About the term Termas, you will get a much more in depth answer on the Brazil forum I am sure, but from what I gather, it is something of a turkish bath house, where you go and enjoy a sauna and your choice of beautiful naked Brazilian women. You pay the entrance and then you pay per girl you bang.

    Hope that was helpful,

    Bad
