One reason may be that the person has Hilton Honors points. I used to have a scheme for collecting these and I stayed at some nice Hiltons over the years, although not as nice as the one in Puerto Madero. One in Malta was particularly nice. Apartments are cheaper than hotels but they are not cheaper than free.

Others might cite daily maid service, more towels only a phone call away, 24 hour room service, and not worrying about getting a deposit back. I prefer to stay in apartments, too, but I don't do it on my first visit to a city because I don't know anything about the neighborhoods. I used to have pretty good luck screwing hotel maids too, especially in Mexico. That could be another potential reason.

There are several reasons, though maybe not good ones:

    - A lot of people don't know it's an option.

    - A lot of companies require you to use an approved list of hotels.

Plus, there is the 'unknown' factor. If you stay in the Hilton, you know what you get (more or less across the globe) If you stay in a private apartment it's often hit or miss. For some, it may not be worth it.

Would someone explain the rational for using a hotel vs a high end appartment?

I just do not understand? If one spends a few hours at most reading this board in a thoughtful manner, it will lead to must more space and minimal rules combined with security. Such one bedroom apartments 500 to 630 sq feet run us$60 to us$100 per night with substantial longer term discounts. Most agencies will help you work with an expense account or corp travel department. Mamy apartments have 24 hour security to help with an occasional crazy chica who slips though your radar.

Please look at some of the senior member apartment listing info and agencies like Reynolds or bytargentina.

    Good luck,

    Bob

I love the hotel but I had a situation one night about a year and half ago where I came in really late with two girls. I was talked that the policy of the hotel was to have 2 people per room so the third person was not allowed. I spoke with the Manager, flash my Hilton Elite Status but they did not let me in. I had to finally pay for another room, register one of the girl into that room so I could go up with both of then.

    Hilton - Chica friendly

I have stayed several times at the Hilton BA Puerto Madero. From time to time I have seen chicas (no doubt they were whores) sitting at the lobby's bar. It is not frequent, but also not uncommon.

Another time, I saw the portier talking very friendly to the pimp that was getting 4 chicas inside the hotel.

I have always wondered whether you have to register them if you would get them from the bar, or whether they were available at all (already waiting for an specific client probably)

    Hilton Is Very Chica Friendly

I got in late last night and was chatting with the doorman and security folks standing at the entrance. We saw two pairs of hot chicks (4 total) leave the Hilton by themselves into 2 different cabs. The hotel workers said that there are more of them at Black's and Shampoo, and they suggested that they get me a cab so I can get some. Alas, I was quite drunk and had no cash with me. Hilton is definitely Chica friendly.

    RE Hilton

There is no problem with chicas at the Hilton, I am very glad I stayed there in Jan. 2007 because I had a major Problem with a crazy chica, long story very short, had to call hotel security to get here to leave, when they could not get here to go they got the local police who did the job.

    Good luck.

I brought a chica in last November, and wasn't asked to register her. The IC, you certainly did have to.

I stayed there in 2003 / 2004 numerous times. I would say they are very attentive to who goes in and out. There are two levels, a concierge / bellman station as well as a roaming suited security guard. As I mentioned in a previous post, when my girlfrined and two of her friends returned on night to go to Asia de Cuba, one of mty favorite clubs right next door, they actually locked out my key because I would not make my guests register. They apologized later with champagne and Honor rewards. I truly love the hotel and you will truly enjoy the stay, but I think are very reserved regarding who enters. They have a high level guest, you are the proof, weddings, businessmen, so they cannot afford a chica in the hallway demanding more money or any type of nonsense. I don't mean to scare you off, but perhaps alitlle friendly conversation with the guys near the door might help. Make your selections wel!

    Yes, the have to register.

No, you do not have to come down and escort them to the room. They actually call you to let you know that a guest has arrived.

Yes, you need to check them in.
