Any idea of which companies have the best safety record?

I for one try to sit in the middle, as it's the safest place to be in case of a head on crash, but in the case you probally would have been death.

It's an horrible accident in any case

Not that it makes the tragedy any less so but the dead are 17 and not 18 as was reported all day.

The lady mentioned as having been crushed by the bus while sitting on her motor bike at the level crossing was never there. The person on the motor bike was a guy and when the bus keeled over when struck by the train, he was exactly beneath one of the windows so instead of being crushed he suddenly found himself sitting on his bike and INSIDE the bus. He was released early today after receiving treatment for minor injuries. When it's not your turn.
