Okay, so it sounds expensive and probably was but the lab work would have cost three or four times that amount in my home country. I think my big mistake was allowing myself to be sent to a cardiac specialist when all I needed was a general practitioner.
I'd like to think that a visit to a Dr. For the purpose of ordering blood work can be had for much less. Possible?

Do you happen to recall if they gave you a copy of the lab report? In some countries they treat these reports as if only the Gods of Medicine should have the right to read them.

The last time I had a "check up" in BA, it was done at a private clinic near Hospital Fernandez. If you go there and ask to have blood work done, they will likely direct you here.
The prices are right and the doctors are more than open minded.

For reasons I won't go into, I like / need to have regular blood work done but I want to avoid any run around.
Is anyone aware of an online laboratory service like this one [1] or perhaps recommend a liberal minded doctor that can work with me? Liberal minded in this context is a Dr. That won't go all wobbly in the knees when I'm honest with him about my hobbies. A good sports medicine doc would be ideal.
