I usually just make up some shit as to where I am from. I figure the chicas can lie there asses off, why can't I?

I have noticed there is a slight difference if I say I am from Ustados Unitos, vs Canada, or Holland.

I told one chica I was from Japan, I am not of asian decent at all, but speak more Japanese than spanish. She went for it.

That's why I love this bull shit. Maybe the girls prefer to fuck me because I'm a Brit. But do they prefer I'm Welsh and not English? Or is it that I'm 50% Slovenian that they like the most? Or even, maybe, as I have been here so long I can pass as an Argy?

I personally think most girls like guys who spend mad hours at the gym and are clean cut.

The next question is do they prefer to go out with an Argy for less money. From my experience here I would say in most cases yes! I have seen it often with my own eyes. A girl refusing to go out with a foreigner for a 100 US and going out with and Argy for 100 pesos (or less) The tourist would be a one time hit while the Argy happened to be one that came to the club and took the girl out every week - Do your maths - 52 times 100 pesos against one hundred dollars! It adds up in a year! So to take the risk of pissing off her Argy client she must charge the foreigner a LOT more!

A "North American" could mean a Canadian, a "USA citizen", a Mexican, or even a Guatemalan by some defintions.

I believe Mexicans sometimes say they are going to "Mexico" when already in that country, meaning they are going to the capital, Mexico City. Probably not a perfectly correct geographical statement, but why argue it when the meaning is clearly understood?

By the way, nationalities are capitalized in English, unlike in Spanish.

The same is true in French and Arabic. Probably in other languages as well.

There is no other way. A person from the United States of Brazil is a Brazilian so in the same way someone from the United States of America is American. The problem is that the whole continent is also called America.

The point is wherever you go in the World and say you are an American everyone knows that you are from the USA so whether you are Canadian or Argentine it would be incorrect to call yourself American if you are talking about your nationality but not so if you are talking about your continent of birth.

Of course this is as ridiculous a discussion as saying that all South Americans are Australians because the etymology of the word Australia is Southern!
