Costa Rica: earthquake

Anyone hear from fellow mongers in Costa Rica. Friend lives there and guess he is cut off: no contact. Sounds like they got it good. Could think of worst places to be stuck.

I just got back from CR; arrived on the 9th the day after the Quake and got back last night.

San Jose was fine, and Quepos didn't feel a thing. I was on a boat for four days fishing and the news started filtering in to what I thought was a country with more advanced communications. Of course most of the damage was North, but I was amazed at the lack of concern and awareness in the Central Valley and Central Pacific.

At 9:30 pm on Thursday there was an after shock that hit Alajuela. Gringos running everywhere from the Hampton Inn. Hilarious.
