Located in Bolivar approx 50 mts from Plaza de Mayo.

Everytime I come to BA, I make a point of going to the plaza on a Thursday, at least once to see the Madres. This is probably not the thread to bang on about these brave and determined women, but having a young son of my own I like to pay my respects. Also there now, a bunch of vets from Las Malvenas. We had words. Good words.

So the Pulperia is just a stones throw from the plaza and caters for the local workforce. This is a basic, down to earth sandwich bar with a parilla going on next to the entrance and a small restaurant at the back. No frills here and you need to speak spanish. I opted for the steak sandwich and a tinto. Both were huge and at 12 pesos the lot, an absotule bargain. Good filling stuff that kept me going the rest of the day. Although the staff and quite a few of the customers had very few teeth, it was a social place that I'll visit again.
