I am publically discussing this in a forum wherein many people care about what happens to TL. Encouraging a drunk who has tried to stop drinking to"go for it" and keep drinking is rather unkind and cold. TL, my only motivation to see you have a good life.

I am concerned that you have not read about your recreational drug of choice and are recomending it to a senior with other health problems.

Drops are discussed many places on the web as a "date rape" drug. It is used by criminals as "knock-out drops" to steal from victims". Long term use cause brain damage.

Withdrawl causes convulsions and shakes. Mixed with liquor it can kill or put you in a coma.

I am not the right wing of the republican party nor the "christian coalition" NOR the libertarians telling everyone to do whatever you want to your own body. I am a friend who is saddened by what has happened to a great guy and asking him to examine what is going on in his life.

I am sure that it is possible for someone to use drops in a recreational manner that is relatively "safe" for many people. Other people will injure or kill themselves from unknowing abuse.

I have never tried to quit drinking.

I stopped in October for about 120 days.

Now I limit it to as little as possible.

Maybe once or twice a week.

Always regret it though !

Forced by many to join them for a drink at times.

The hangovers are just not worth it.

My personal usage of the drops is limited to 2 days a week and then it's followed by 8 days of abstinence.

Or more since it's not super easy to obtain.

I have read all of the pros and cons.

GHB is illegal in most of the civilized world.

GBL is a semi controlled substance in a few countries but it is a direct analog of GHB.

Same thing basically.

72 deaths attributed to GHB, mostly due to a combination with alcohol and or other factors.

I realize that 1 is too many but that's awfully low.

Anyway, I do appreciate EVERYONE'S opininions and concerns.

Love drops are definitely not risk free. However, no drug, not even aspirin, is risk free.

As one who thinks prohibiting the sale of medicines makes about as much sense as prohibiting the sale of alcohol (we tried that, it didn't work) I say to TejanoLibre - go for it, it's your life, enjoy it to the fullest.

"DROPS" kill and cause brain damage. Addiction leads to compulsive over-use. I love you guy. Please be good to yourself. Drops are illegal through out most of the world, except for limited use by prescription. Drops are far more dangerous than e.

TL if you understand what you are doing great. BUT please don't go telling people in their 60's that they are legal throughout the world and realitively risk free. If you used them to party one or two times per week, I would not say anything. I love you guy and only want the best for you.
