While the concept of both getting tested before indulging sounds good, I don't think it works in practice. You can reduce but not eliminate your risk that way.

HIV can take up to 90 days before it will even show up on a test. She may show clean but still be a carrier. Again, getting a test may reduce your risk. But, all you're really getting is evidence that she didn't have HIV three months ago.
