Posts: 911Most towns in the provinces have a "Bingo" which is a small time casino. Working girls are hit and miss but they do exist.

Posts: 3510If by "the big casino outside of town" you mean Tigre, the answer would seem to be yes in your case. The gambling is better there, and it is easy to get there on the train. I would say one night in Tigre would work for you. Based on what you post, I think you would enjoy it. If you are a big time gambler, you might enjoy the casino in Puerto Madero, I would not recommend it to you. I think you will like the clubs in Puerto Madero and may also want to check out San Telmo.

Thanks for the info! If I'm in town for a week is it worth going up to the big casino outside of town? Any action there?

To speak more precisely there is no federal law about it, some authorizations has been granted to certain people, with no logic involved.
So, if you want, you have the moneys and you get the machines trowed in Las Vegas to Buenos Aires and you want to start your own casino, you start a legit business, paying any taxes and submitting to the government regulations, they will say no.
You'll ask why not?
They will answer just because.
That happened several years ago, then the solution was to mount the casino floating on the river, that way the city law were unable to reach them. By the way, Puerto Madero itself it's not part of the city of buenos aires, it's a private corporation, federal police may not enter without a special authorization and that is why you'll see "prefectura" which is the oceans, rivers and lakes police in puerto madero.
If you own a property in Puerto Madero you don't pay taxes to the city (directly) as well as you do it indirectly since the corporation pays taxes to the city.
Understanding the logic of these things may become a very frustrating exercise, and it's much better just say that law does not allow casinos in the city, with the exception of the horse tracks of palermo, and the many bingos (small casinos).
Online casinos are not regulated, I guess that anyone can start an online casino and make money without paying taxes and not being controlled by the government.

An Argentine "Casino Operator" recently purchased a Florida slot parlor and poker room at a pari-mutual jai lai fronton. It makes for some interesting speculation/conjecture regarding laundering pesos and/or dollars.

Because there is another casino (just slots) underneath the racetrack in Palermo.

Posts: 3510The technology does not currently exist to create a machine that can be calibrated in large enough increments to measure the amount that casino sucks. Or, to put it somewhat differently, that casino resembles the ones in Las Vegas about as much as my culo resembles Miguet de Bois.

Posts: 150Casino it's located in the port since local law does not allowed them to operate in the city.
I've seen some girls but not sure if they were available. You can better get to Asia de Cuba (it's also in puerto madero) some specific days, and you find model-like girls in the VIP.
You need to book within some anticipation. Girls in there are part-timers. They will get laid as any working girl, but you may not find them everyday.
Prices are expensive. 5k pesos and more.
I hope this helps.Last edited by SimpleWrangler; 05-23-15 at 22:24. Reason: adding information

Hey there guys, I'm coming to BA on a 2 week visit and was wondering what the action was like at the casino. Is it like Vegas or panama with Girls hanging out on the floor? My weakness for gambling runs straight into my desire for tall blondes, be nice to mix the two!
