I remember the Florida location as a good one from a year or two back. Today, I tried the Florida Privado after some shopping, the guard stopped me and said it was closed. I then taxi'd over to Libertad 478.

And it has a red closed sticker across the door frame. I guess I will test drive a high mileage model at one of the bars in Micro-Center.

If anyone has a decent privado to reccomend, I welcome any short term advice.

Hook used to be reasonable but not cheap. But the current price, 3500 pesos converted to dollars, is about the highest I have heard anyone pay in BA since I started going there around 2002 and 2003. And vice versa. Was in Barcelona and Girona with an argie gal and they couldn't understand her at all. She couldn't understand them either. She sure laughed her ass over the 'Se Necesita Pinche' sign in the restaurant window. That and 'vamos a coger el tren.'

Its just how they pronounce "E" in spanish with a bit of a porteno accent. With out getting into a huge furrball over language, the porteno accent is quite strong and difficult to understand at times even to other spanish language speakers.

Great information, thank you guys so much. Excuse me for my inexperience here but I can't seem to find the "Privados" sub forum, would anyone perhaps have a link. Again, thank you, I did not expect this much feedback.

If you are new to Bs As (Buenos Aires) don't be shy of meeting up with some of the AP members who haunt Bs As. Old, young, whatever, they know the territory. If your goal is to get the best ass at a reasonable price, they will point you in the proper direction.

When I first started coming to Bs As, I was still married and very self conscious about every little detail. I learned with time to take the opportunity to meet a few folks and learn more. This is a very nonjudgmental (for the most part) group and secrets are secure with them.

As anyone who has met me will tell you, my Spanish sucks. That said, I have had more good times in Bs As than any other city on earth (and I am a professional traveler). One of my old favorites was 1633 Junin Apt 3D. I went there so many times, I can't count them all. I never met a chica or madam at that place that spoke two words of English. All you need to be able to do is ring a door bell, say "Hola", look at a couple chicas, chose one and get it on.
