Wednesday 8-18 Ð This is my first trip to Buenos Aires and will only be here 3 nights. IÕm staying at the Howard Johnson in Centro so plan on working this area.

By the time I got checked in and settled in the hotel it was 11 PM and I went out to look around and get something to eat. It was late and I needed to get going so after reviewing my notes I decided that I wanted something solid so I walked over to Cutty Sark. This is a nice place with a lot of class and I could not believe the lovely ladies, there was maybe 15 and were 6Õs to 8Õs.

I will be staying at the Gran Hotel Beunos Aires in Sept. It is located on Marcelo T. De Alvears near Plaza San Martin. The triangle is Cattos, Hook, and Ness on Suipacha St.
Cattos and Hook are adjacent and Ness is across the street, hence the term "triangle" . Down the street from Ness is Hot Point which used to have other names and does not really count, but may be of interest. Hook has been reported as a good place to get counterfeit change and overcharges. My good friends Dickhead and Mickey Mouse can well testify to the latter.

Nuevo Estilo is at La Pampa 687 which is close to the corner of Figuero Alcorta and La Pampa, about a 10 peso cab ride from the triangle.

All these places start to happen after 11 pm.

Very dark in Affair Recoleta last Friday night about 12-1!

Could not see much of the 25 or so girls in there with 5-6 guys. More guys as it got later. Black lighting is very distracting, also. $20p entry, slip of paper given with three empty boxes on it for the bartender to X out as you consume. The selection was mediocre. All those that travel here make sure to check your bank statements when you get home or online. One of my ATM cards wouldn't let me withdraw money. Not sure why. All my other bank cards work. I tried to withdraw 1,000 pesos a few times but it never dispensed any money. Imagine my surprise today when I look online and I see they took out $500 US a few days ago from my bank. I called them and they said it's showing as a legitimate withdrawal. I told them the card isn't even working. He said it rarely happens but he has seen it before. Not sure if it's a bank error on the USA side or Argentina but make sure you look at your statements carefully. For those that are using ATM all the time it's easy to overlook.

If I didn't look at it I never would have known. I'm sure I'll get the money credited back to my account but it's a pain in the ass. Now I have to wait for them to mail me a form and then have to mail it back to them.
