The towns were just dead and not at all appealing when I went in November IIRC. The Pacific there is a sight to see with mountains, cliffs, huge rocks, and extreme currents like in parts of California but that was the only attraction for me. Santiago is higher and drier so it gets quite cold at night. I don't think it snows very often in the valley since its not too high but it won't be as mild as BA in winter. .http://www.escortvipsantiago.cl/

Posts: 547Yes, is true, I don't write so well In English for somebody from the states (nor England, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia) I don't write so well In italian for somebody from italy, and I barely write better in spanish, after many years of school and university but I recognize that sometimes I misspell some few words and I have serious desagreements with the castellano, I'm from north Italy but lived as an expatriate for many years I roamed, so I don't have a place that I can call home, I've tested everywheres pussy and yes, I liked it, attended school, trade, and learned too. Leaned that there are american motherfuckers and american straight people, italian motherfuckers and italian nice people, even good relatives and bad relatives, people that deserves respect and people who must work and learn a lot before to deserve respect. Does not matters where are they from, as I said, may be with cruelty, winners and losers. And do you know how to recognize winners? They click the banner on the top of this page that starts with daily maid.

If you live in BA yet still like wearing US brands like Hilfiger, Polo, Levis, etc check out the stores in Santiago. Most of that stuff is much cheaper there than in BA. Ditto for cars and basically any durable and/or imported good.
Of course services, partying, whoaring, dining are mostly better and cheaper in BA.

I spent the weekend in Santiago, arriving early Friday evening. My first and lasting impressions were that BsAs and the Chilean capital couldn't be more different. Think of Santiago as Denver or Atlanta (add mountains) to Buenos Aires as New York or Paris.
So, whether you'd prefer one over the other has everything to do with whether you're more at home in a spread-out, commercial-oriented city or a denser, more "cultural" metropolis. Do you like malls with Starbucks, Tony Roma's and Ruby Tuesday, with people dressed like North Americans but speaking Spanish? Then Santiago's for you. Dinner for two at a Peruvian restaurant (seafood, since I'd had enough bife de bife for a while) for $50 US? Santiago. Modern, efficient subway, highways, etc. Santiago. Military cops everywhere, and I mean everywhere? Santiago. Not to say you can't spend some $ in Buenos Aires if you want to, but all the basics in Santiago are more expensive.
As for mongering, I didn't get the chance since my match.com non-pro took care of me, but others have mentioned a strong escort scene, with the chicas all that they appear to be on the Web sites.
I have to qualify all this by saying that my 2-day visit may not be terribly representative of what others would do / have done in Chile, but if you have any questions, send me a PM.

I know that Argentines are taught to passionately hate everything about Chile before they can walk, I've seen and heard the ranting 100 times. Hell, the English futbol team and Margaret Thatcher are Argentina's best old buddies compared to Chile. So I must commend you since that was the most objective commentary on Chile I've ever seen written by an Argentine. You didn't even mention how "bad the water is" there, which is usually at least in the Top Ten list.

Posts: 547I pretty much agree on the perception of Moore about chile.
Chileans are avid of importing stuff from the US rather than europe, and there is a large American influence on several aspects like food, hotel chains, TV shows, etc. Many Chileans during the dictatorship travelled as refugees to US and Canada, being Canada and Sweeden the prefered countries to escape from Chile. The current macro-economy it's also American-imported; Senator Pinera, Hernan Buchi and others were called the "Chicago boys" since they imported many ideas from Chicago University. Actually Chile attracts more American investors than any other country in South America, (also because of NAFTA) The weather anyways is horrible, and the society is extremely cinical, on the women (and people in general) if you locate yourself on vitacura, las condes, la dehesa, the genetics influence is very German and vasca, noticed also on the last names, so in general you'll see taller, blonde and blueyed people. The mixture in Chile is also influenced by the Palestinean immigration (they call them Turkish, but is mistaken) and every large immigration association owns as a rule a stadium and a school, so there is the Palestinean stadium, the Deustche stadium, the Spaniard stadium, the Italian stadium, the German clinic, etc.
Different from Argentina, in Chile the influence of the militars remained, and the police is kind of militarized. They have orders anyway to respect as a first priority both rich people and foreigners (European and American foreigners, not Peruvians nor Bolivians) They have two forces: the police (policia) and carabineros. Police is very corrupt, they don't wear uniforms, only at their offices, but their cars are marked, and the carabineros used to be part of the militar forces, in fact the head of the carabineros was one of 4 heads of the government when the dictatorship had the power until 1990.
But the carabineros can be very rude with poor people. I was in a 'cabaret' on the red zone one time and the carabineros made an 'inspection' so discovered the girls had a special gate-away (a hole behind a seat to escape) then they've asked to the clients for documents and asked questions like: what are you doing here, and again and again. Many of the clients were sent to the police station and treated rude, I was lucky said some bullshit and ran away. So on that sense I desagree, prostitution is not accepted socialy like in Argentina. What happens is that many guys, so called 'pilotos' (similar to pimp) they receive a commision from the apartment for sending someone. No matter if they know him or not. Many 'pilotos' were at plaza de armas on the cold nights of Santiago.
While Paraguayas and North Argentinean aborigens were great for the sex industry development of BA, they are thin, nice tits, tight skin and sexier, Chileans women bodies looks like a tank, short legs, wider shoulders and breasted, lack of backsides. Of course these are signals since they are mixed already so 100% mapuches are only findable in Temuco (south of Chile, by the way beautiful reinforest lakes and natural enviroments) Traditionally Chilean prostitution has been always more expensive and with less quality than Argentina. On the other hand, finding top quality-gorgeous girls for higer prices it's so much easier in Chile than Argentina.

Yes argentina is much better if you are going to bang girls, but if you want a great women for a mate, the Chilean women are the best. I have had much great experiance with Chilean women who know how to treat and respect thier man than any other women in the world.
Good luck fellow dog,

Posts: 15Watched a movie a couple of months ago called "Los Debutantes" which is set in Santiago. The plot involves strip clubs, strippers, whores, crime bosses, and mongers with an absolutely beautiful female lead as the stripper main character. To see Buenos Aires checkout Robert Duvall in "Assassination Tango" starring as a hit man.
