Today I followed Jackson's cheat sheet, I took a cab to club Salome. It was closed.

The cab driver said it was closed about 2-3 months, mas o minos.

I then went to Cocodrilo in Palermo, there is a $150 peso cover charge now, it was a lousy evening, not many chicas there. This could be due to the holiday. There were a few independent chicas there.

The rest of the cheat sheet is great, especially the club strategy, that was written with numerous field trips. I especially like the "dust off the house pigs" sentence. Haha!

Also went to the downtown Triangle, which is also on Jax cheat list. The talents are not as good as before. Still a good place to do. 600 to leave the club + a (200) drink.

Very few BA girls, mostly the chicas from the neighboring cheap countries.

Also went to Hippopotamus in Recoleta Villiage, the entrance is AR$200, same as Madoho's! There were quite amount of chicas, it's a not bad place. But the talents are not as good as Madoho's. The bar fine is 400 pesos, and $500 if it's the dancer. The price to leave is $700 for local guys and U$200 for extranjeros. That's the secret told by a chica.

Then there is a small one called Buenos Aires something by Madoho's. 150 entrance fee, very shitty, please pass that.

My advice, go for the nice places if you time is short here, quality is more important than quantity, but do bargain hunting if the staying is longer. (independent Vicky's price is great)

New Port is also good if you hit the right night at the right moment, if you have check the fking all the time. It's really like hunting, find that nice big fat fish in the small murky creek.

I am what you may call the "Accidental Tourist" over here in BA but I found out AP had been a wonderful source of guidance to move around here esp if your Spanish vocab is painfully limited to just a few words. Just got to drop my Thanks to you & everyone for introducing AP and sorry for doing it on on this thread.

Read about the ridiculous amount any party-goer had to bear these days going to 'Nite-Clubs" here in BA but tonite I am just going to bite the bullet myself and hopefully things may not be that bad after all.

Very good job with the map. Thank you.

I will add some personal comments on what I think these places still are:

Madonna FKA La Saison: Many people reported it as bad, kind of run-down place with a past glare of better times. I never heard anyone who really recommended it after its reopening on November 2004 (either local or visitor)

Alexis: Alexis is the perfect definition of "lame": dimly lighted, old furniture, old cows providing service. Sad, very sad. Not recommended either.

Boycott: BEWARE! That place was consistently reported as a rip-off joint, having changed names several times. Caution.

Chicote-Gipsy: 100% certified rip-off place. Don't even poke your nose there!

Caprichos: I never saw people entering or leaving the place, which seems very small. It should raise your concern as a doubtful establishment.

La Fuente: 6 years ago, it was one of the best in Flores. As of October 2004, it has 6-10 girls from 3 to 6, most of them with school miniskirt outfits. Not recomended, since Envidia and Dollys are 2 steps above it, and for the same price.

Lucy's: Lame, lame. Cheap entrance, but nothing interesting inside. Lots of cumbia on high volume.

Manhattan: That's what I call a place for low budget and not-as-stunning chicas. Maybe you find a couple of girls doable, but nothing else. Romms are subpar (more than those at Envidia. And that says a lot)

Hackers: As far as I know, Hackers and the surrounding bars are devoted to swingers. It may have changed.

Oro / Obsesión: Oro 2282 is almost at the corner of Oro and Charcas, so I guess that it refers to the same club. It is worth a visit, but I heard that prices went a little up while chica quality didn't. Been so close to Recoleta and at most ar$10 the entrance, nothing terrible happens if going and being disappointed with the girls.
